Believing in the angels brings great benefits, including the following:
i. Knowledge of the greatness, might and authority of Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, for the greatness of created things is indicative of the greatness of the Creator. [12] See: Nubdhah min al-‘Aqidah, in Majmu‘ Fatawa Ibn ‘Uthaymin, 5/118.
ii. Gratitude to Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, for His care for the children of Adam, as He has appointed angels to protect them, record their deeds, and do other things that are in their interests. [13] See: Nubdhah min al-‘Aqidah, in Majmu‘ Fatawa Ibn ‘Uthaymin, 5/118.
iii. Awareness that Allah is watching His slave, and the angels are recording his deeds. That will prompt him to strive hard in doing acts of worship and keep away from bad deeds. [14] See: Tafsir Ibn Kathir, 8/344; Tafsir al-Sa‘di, p. 914; Nubdhah min al-‘Aqidah, in Majmu‘ Fatawa Ibn ‘Uthaymin, 5/118.
iv. Learning from and being inspired by their obedience, because they do not disobey Allah in what He commands them but do what they are commanded al-Tahrim 66:6. [15] See: Abu Bakr al-Jaza’iri: ‘Aqidat al-Mu’min, p. 275.
v. Love for the angels for what they do of worshipping Allah, may He be glorified and exalted. [16] See: Nubdhah min al-‘Aqidah, in Majmu‘ Fatawa Ibn ‘Uthaymin, 5/118.
vi. Keenness to frequent the places that the angels like, such as the mosques and circles of knowledge. [17] See: A group of researchers: Mawsu‘at al-‘Aqidah wa’l-Adyan wa’l-Firaq wa’l-Madhahib al-Mu‘asirah, 5/2810.
