4. The benefits of believing in the Books
Believing in the Books brings great benefits for the believer, including the following:
i. He will have strong faith in Allah, may He be exalted, and knowledge of His laws and how to implement them. [32] See: Abu Bakr al-Jaza’iri: ‘Aqidat al-Mu’min, p. 276.
ii. He will follow a straight and clear path, in which there is no confusion and no crookedness. [33] ‘Aqidat Ahl al-Sunnah wa’l-Jama‘ah [in Majmu‘ Fatawa Ibn ‘Uthaymin], 3/259.
iii. It highlights the wisdom of Allah, may He be exalted, as He prescribed for each nation in these Books what was appropriate for it, and the last of the Books, the Holy Qur’an, is appropriate for all of humanity and the jinn, at all times and in all places, until the onset of the Hour. [34] See: A Group of Scholars: Usul al-Iman fi Daw’ al-Kitab wa’l-Sunnah, p. 129; Tafsir Ibn Kathir, 3/130.
iv. He will give thanks to Allah, may He be exalted, for His kindness and care for His creation, as He sent down to them the Books which contained guidance to that which is in their best interests in this world and the hereafter, and he will rejoice in that great goodness. [35] See: A Group of Scholars: Usul al-Iman fi Daw’ al-Kitab wa’l-Sunnah, p. 129.
Allah, may He be exalted, says, "Say, “In the bounty of Allah and in His mercy - in that let them rejoice; it is better than what they accumulate.” (Yunus 10:59)
