Ibn ‘Uthaymin said, “Believing in the Last Day brings great benefits, including the following:

i. It motivates one to do acts of worship and righteous deeds, and to be keen to do so in the hope of attaining reward on that Day.

ii. It deters one from committing sins or approving of them for fear of punishment on that Day.

iii. It offers consolation to the believer for what he misses out on in this world, because of what he hopes for of bliss and reward in the hereafter.”
