The Day of Tarwiyah is the eighth day of Dhu al-Hijjah. It is so named because they used to bring water with them from Mecca to `Arafat, drinking and asking others for water. Other explanations exist.
It is also called Yawm al-Naqlah, as people would move from Mecca to Mina on that day.
