Section II: Some Modern Matters and What Breaks the Fast of It

Firstly: Dialysis
Whoever has kidney dialysis in any form, then his fast breaks from that. This is the position of Ibn Baz, and the verdict of the Permanent Committee.

Usage of injections not for the purpose of nutrition does not invalidate the fast, regardless whether the injection is in the muscle, vein, or underneath the skin. This is the position of Ibn Baz and Ibn `Uthaymin, and it is from the judgements of the International Fiqh Academy, the Permanent Committee, and the verdict of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Sixthly: Nutritional intravenous injection
