Before the expiry of the waiting period: The four Madhabs agree that if the husband claims that he has taken his wife before the expiry of the waiting period, but the wife denies that it happened, the word of the man to be given precedence.
2. After the expiry of the waiting period: The scholars are in consensus that if the husband claims that he has taken his wife after the expiry of the waiting period, but the wife denies that he has taken her back after the end of her waiting period, the word of the woman to be given precedence and she is required to take an oath on it. Ibn al-Munthir reported the consensus of scholars on this ruling.
