Overall meaning : Hell will lie in ambush for the unbelievers on Resurrection Day; it will be a home for those who transgress the bounds of right in the life of the world. They will abide in Hell for endless ages, not tasting any coolness there nor any drink, except intensely boiling water and puss flowing from the bodies of the dwellers of the Fire: a punishment that perfectly fits the evil deeds they have done in the worldly life.
While in the life of the world, they did not believe in the resurrection and judgment in the life to come, and they utterly denied Our revelations; but We kept account of everything people did and wrote it down, with nothing of it whatsoever being hidden from Us.
The unbelievers will be told in Hell, ‘Taste, then, this punishment, for We will give you nothing but more and more torment!’
