Overall meaning : When the earth is shaken violently on the Day of Resurrection, and it brings forth the dead buried in it for judgement and recompense, and man perplexedly asks, ‘What is happening to it, being so violently shaken and bringing forth its burdens?!’—on that day the earth will speak of all the good and evil deeds that people have done on its surface, for Allah will have inspired and commanded it to do so. On that day people will go forth to the Place of Gathering to see the result of their deeds. Therefore, whoever has done an atom’s weight of good in this present life will see its reward in the next, and whoever has done an atom’s weight of evil in this world will see its result in the hereafter.
