Overall meaning : Prophet, if believing women come to you and pledge themselves not to worship anyone but Allah, nor steal, nor commit adultery, nor kill their children for fear of poverty or otherwise, nor falsely attribute illegitimate children to their husbands, nor disobey you, Muhammad, in whatever you command them to do or desist from doing, then accept their pledge as long as they have solemnly promised to observe its terms; and pray to Allah to forgive them. Allah is All-Forgiving, All-Merciful.
Believers, do not take for supporters and trusted allies the unbelievers who have incurred Allah’s wrath because of their unbelief. They have despaired of Allah’s reward and mercy in the life to come just as the dead unbelievers buried in their graves have despaired of Allah’s reward and mercy.
