Overall meaning : Do you, Quraysh unbelievers, feel secure that Allah, who is high above His heavens, will not cause the earth to swallow you up as punishment for your unbelief when it quakes violently? Or do you feel secure that Allah, who is high above the heavens, will not let loose against you a rain of stones? You will surely learn then what My warning was like and realise the dire consequences those who deny it will suffer?! The unbelievers before you, Quraysh unbelievers, likewise denied their messengers. How terrible was my response and rejection of them!
Do these unbelieving idolaters not see the birds above them, spreading their wings at times and folding them at other times? None but the All-Compassionate God sustains them and prevents them from falling. He sees everything.
