Overall meaning : Noah complained to His Lord’s stubborn rejection of the truth, saying, ‘Lord, my people have disobeyed me and have instead followed their leaders—the inventors of falsehood—whose wealth and children have made them stray even more from the truth and led them increasingly into loss. Their leaders have devised a mighty plot and said to each other, “Do not renounce your gods, which Noah enjoins you not to worship, nor forsake the idols Wadd, Suwwa’, Yaghuth, Ya‘uq or Nasr.” They have led many people astray from the truth. Lord, grant those who have wronged themselves because of their stubborn unbelief increase in nothing but straying further from the truth.’
Because of their sins Allah drowned them and cast them into the Fire. They found none to help them or save them from Allah’s punishment.
