Overall meaning : “Some of us have submitted themselves to Allah’s will and obeyed Him, while some others have strayed from the path of truth. Those who have surrendered themselves to Allah by declaring His oneness and obeying His commands have indeed pursued the right path, but those who have strayed from the path of Islam will be the fuel of Hell.”’
Had the wrongdoers pursued the path of truth, We would have given them abundant rain and made them live in ease and affluence, and thereby test them to prove those of them who, according to Our foreknowledge, will give thanks and who will be ungrateful. Those who turn away from the Qur’an will be admitted by their Lord into a grievous punishment.
