Overall meaning : In their arrogance and excessive tyranny, the people of Thamud denied the truth that their messenger, Salih, had brought them when the most wretched and wicked of them rose up to kill the she-camel. Their messenger, Salih, warned them, saying, ‘Beware of harming Allah’s she-camel in any way, and beware of preventing her from having her share of water on the day Allah has appointed for her.’ But they rejected their Prophet, Salih, calling him a liar, and cruelly slaughtered the she-camel out of sheer unbelief and stubbornness.
Therefore, Allah completely destroyed the people of Thamud for having killed the she-camel and made their punishment equal to them all.
Allah does not fear the consequences of His destruction of the people of Thamud.
