Overall meaning : Allah Almighty points out and refutes some of the believers’ false claims, saying: The unbelievers of the Quraysh say to the believers, ‘Follow our way and our religion, and we will bear the burden of your sins!’ But they will by no means bear any of their sins. Truly they are liars.
By virtue of the fact that they call others to unbelief and misguidance, they will surely bear the burden of their own sins, as well as that of those they have led astray, and they will surely be questioned on the Day of Resurrection about the lies they have fabricated.
