Overall meaning : The Almighty says: Allah sets forth for you, idolaters, an example drawn from your own lives that shows the ugliness and invalidity of associating partners with Allah: Would you make your slaves full partners in whatever We have provided for you, so that you and they have equal shares in it, and you would fear their disposing of it as a free man amongst you would fear his free partner’s disposing of whatever property they share together?! If you do not approve of your slaves being your partners in the sustenance We have bestowed upon you, how can you, then, ascribe divinity to some of His creation besides Him and consider partners with Him in His Kingdom?!
Thus do We expound and explain diverse proofs and signs for people who comprehend Allah’s examples and declare His oneness. Rather, these idolaters follow their own whims because of their ignorance of the truth. Allah does not guide those whom He has left to stray because of their preferring blindness to guidance. They will have none to help against Allah’s punishment.
