Overall meaning : The Almighty says: We have set forth and propounded for people in this Qur’an all kinds of parables and examples so that they may distinguish truth from falsehood. Yet if you bring the unbelievers, Muhammad, a sign attesting to your truthfulness, they will say, ‘You and your followers follow nothing but falsehood.’ Just as Allah has sealed up the hearts of these unbelievers so that they do not comprehend His signs, so too He seals up the hearts of other unbelievers, so that they will never believe the truth. Therefore, persevere with constancy, Muhammad, when calling the unbelievers to the truth and patiently bear their stubbornness, for what Allah has promised you is true; and do not let those who do not believe Allah’ promise dishearten you and make you give up adhering to the truth.
