Overall meaning : Are those who obey their Lord and devoutly worship Him during the hours of the night, prostrating themselves and standing in prayer, fearing punishment in the life to come and hoping for their Lord’s mercy equal to those who associate partners with Allah and worship them besides Him?! By no means!
Say, Muhammad, to them: Are those who have knowledge and act on it, devoutly worshipping their Lord, equal to those who are ignorant and have no knowledge at all to act on? No, they are by no means equal. Only those who are endowed with insight and good sense will take heed and benefit from such instructions.
Say, Muhammad, to My believing servants: Fear your Lord by doing what He commands and avoiding what He forbids. Those who do good in this life will receive a great reward in the hereafter. Allah’s earth is spacious: If you are unable to worship Me in a certain land, migrate to another one so you can worship Me in peace. Those who remain steadfast and persevere with patience will be given their reward in full without measure.
