Overall meaning :
As for those who say, ‘Our Lord is Allah,’ and then steadfastly adhere to His commands, the angels will descend upon them at the time of their death, saying, ‘Do not fear what is to come, nor grieve over what has passed. Rejoice in the good news of Paradise which you have been promised to enter. We were your supporters and guardians in the worldly life, and so will we be in the world to come. You will have in the hereafter whatever you desire and whatever you ask for—a welcoming rich provision from the Al-Forgiving and the All-Merciful God.’
No one speaks better than someone who calls people to the worship of Allah alone, does righteous deeds and says, ‘I am one of those who sincerely submit to Allah’s will and laws.’
A good quality is by no means equal as to its outcome to a bad quality. Therefore, respond to a bad trait, Muhammad, with the quality that is the best. Be kind to those who offend you, call them to the truth with wisdom and gentleness, pardon them and patiently endure whatever harm they do you. If you do so, those who are your enemies now will become like your intimate friends. But none will be granted such honourable quality but those who possess steadfast patience. None will be granted it except those who are endowed with a great portion of good.
And if Satan prompts you, Muhammad, through his evil suggestions, to repay unkindness with unkindness, then seek refuge with Allah to protect you from him. It is He who hears all and knows all.
