Overall meaning : The Almighty says: When We abrogate a verse of the Qur’an and replace it with another one—and Allah knows best what He reveals in His Book and what He abrogates as He knows what is of benefit to His servants—the idolaters who ascribe partners to Allah say, ‘You, Muhammad, are a liar and you have forged this Qur’an yourself.’ No indeed! The truth of the matter is that they do not know that the Qur’an is the Truth and that abrogation only takes place due to some divine reasons.
Then He enjoins His Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, to respond to them, saying: Say to them: On no account have I invented the Qur’an myself. Rather, Gabriel has brought it down from my Lord with the truth to make the believers’ faith even firmer and to give guidance and good news to all those who have surrendered themselves to Allah.
The Almighty disproves yet another falsehood the idolaters assert: We know very well that they say, ‘It is only a human being who is teaching Muhammad the Qur’an.’ They have indeed lied, for the language of the man to whom they refer is not Arabic, while this Qur’an has been revealed in clear, lucid Arabic!!
