Overall meaning : The Almighty says: People, Allah’s promise is true; therefore, do not let the life of this world ever deceive you, nor let Satan ever deceive you with his whisperings and false promises. Satan is your enemy, so treat him as an enemy and beware of obeying him. He only calls on his followers to deceive them, so that they will be among the inmates of the Fire.
Those who disbelieve in Allah will suffer a severe punishment, but those who believe in Allah and do righteous deeds will have forgiveness and a great reward. Are those whose evil deeds are made to seem fair to them like those who are rightly guided?! By no means! Allah leads astray whomever He wills and guides whomever He wills. Do not, therefore, destroy yourself, with grief for these unbelievers, Muhammad, because of their having strayed from the truth. Allah has full knowledge of what they do.
