Introduction of Sura



Names
This surah is called Surat Al-Haqqah. [426] See: Al-Fayruzabadi: Basa?ir Dhawi At-Tamyiz, 1/478; Tafsir Ibn ?Ashur, 29/111.
Makki or Madani?
Surat Al-Haqqah is Makki; more than one of the commentators narrated that there was consensus regarding that. [427] Those who narrated that there was consensus regarding that include: Ibn ?Atiyyah, Ibn Al-Jawzi and Al-Qurtubi. Objectives
The most important objectives of this surah include:
Speaking of the Day of Resurrection and the different conditions of people on that day. [428] At-Tantawi: At-Tafsir Al-Wasit, 15/65.
Establishing proof for the truthfulness of the Messenger, and that this Qur?an is from Allah (%). [429] Ibid.
