Overall meaning : Allah, Exalted be He, explains to Moses, peace be upon him, the reason for supporting him with these two miracles, so He commands him, saying: ‘Go to Pharaoh, for he has truly rebelled against his Lord and transgressed all bounds, and call him to declare My oneness and worship me alone.’
Moses, peace be upon him, asked for divine assistance and prayed saying, ‘Lord, expand my chest for me so that I will have the courage to address Pharaoh and endure Pharaoh’s harm and threats, make my task of conveying Your message easy and free my tongue from its impediment so that people may understand what I say. Assign me a helper from my family: Aaron, my brother. Grant me strength through him and let him share my task of prophethood and conveying Your message, so that together we may pray to You abundantly, praise and glorify You much and remember You much. You see and know all about us, and none of our deeds is hidden from You.’ Allah answered his prayer, saying: ‘All your requests are granted, Moses.’
