Overall meaning : Almighty Allah says: We revealed to Moses, saying, ‘Go forth with My servants out of Egypt at night and strike for them with your staff a dry path across the sea. Have no fear of being overtaken by Pharaoh and his army, nor be afraid of drowning in the sea.’
When Pharaoh knew of the departure of Moses and the children of Israel from Egypt, he pursued them with his soldiers, but they were stricken beyond description, to an extent known only to Allah. They were utterly overwhelmed by the sea and they all drowned, while Moses and his people emerged in safety.
Pharaoh did indeed lead his people astray from the path of truth by making unbelief and sin seem fair to them, and he by no means led them into the right way!
