Overall meaning : Allah Almighty addresses all human beings, commanding them to fear Him by doing what He commands and avoiding what He forbids, stating that is He who created them all from a single person—their father Adam—from whom He also created Eve, and from both of them He spread many men and women. He also commands them to fear Him and be mindful of Him, stating that it is He in whose name they appeal to one another by virtue of His sublime greatness. He also exhorts them to be careful not to sever the ties of kinship—which they mention when they appeal to one another due to its solemn sanctity—and to fulfil their duties towards family relations: He watches their every action, is fully aware of all their deeds and records them all.
