Overall meaning : Allah Almighty addresses Muslims, saying: Salvation cannot be attained by mere wishful thinking on your part or on the part of the People of the Book simply because you all wish to attain it. The truth is this: whoever does evil will be repaid accordingly, and he will find no helper to help him nor protector to save Him from Allah’s punishment.
As for those who do righteous deeds, be they male or female, and believe in Allah and His Messenger, they will enter Paradise and will have the reward for their deeds in full and not in the least diminished, even if they are as tiny as the speck on a date stone.
No one has a better religion, Allah declares, than those who sincerely worship Him, obey His laws and commands and follow the religion and way of Abraham, peace be upon him, who worshipped Him alone and did not associate partners with Him, stating that He has conferred special love and support on Abraham.
Then He proclaims that to Him alone belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, and that His knowledge encompasses everything.
