Overall meaning :
Allah Almighty teaches that just as there is a share for male heirs in what their parents and relatives leave behind, so there is a share for female heirs in what their parents and relatives leave behind, whether the inheritance is a little or much—a determined share ordained by Allah.
He instructs the faithful, saying if some from among other relatives who do not have a legally defined share, and orphans and the destitute are present at the time of the division of property, they should provide for them out of it and to speak kindly to them to delight them and make them cheerful.
The testators should, He further teaches, fear Him regarding the orphans by showing them the same care and concern they would like others to show their own weak and helpless offspring if they themselves die and leave them behind, and to speak to them in a right and just manner. (Other interpretations have been given regarding this ).
Then He warns those who consume the property of orphans unjustly, stating that they will consume nothing in their bellies except fire on the Day of Judgement and that they will be burnt in a blazing hot fire.
