Overall meaning :
We will certainly help Our messengers and the believers both in this worldly life and on the Day of Resurrection—the day when the excuses of those who have wronged themselves by reason of their unbelief and evil sins will be of no benefit to them. They will be expelled from Allah’s grace and mercy and they will have the worst abode—Hell.
We bestowed on Moses true guidance and made the Children of Israel heirs to the Torah after him—a guide and an admonition to those amongst them who were endowed with insight and good sense. Therefore, be steadfast, Muhammad, and bear the harm of the unbelievers with patience; Allah’s promise is surely true. Implore forgiveness for your sins [so that you will be emulated in this by your followers], and extol your Lord’s glory and praise, declaring Him free from all imperfections, evening and morning.
Those who dispute Allah’s signs testifying to His oneness and the truthfulness of His messengers, with no proof given to them by Us, have nothing in their hearts but arrogance that prevents them from following the truth and with which they seek superiority over it, but they will never attain their ambitions; for Allah will certainly disgrace them. Therefore, hold fast to Allah, Muhammad, and seek refuge in Him from your enemies’ harm. Surely He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing.
