Overall meaning :
Allah says to His Prophet, Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace: If the idolaters disbelieve you and refuse to believe the truth you have brought them, then say to them, 'My deeds are mine and your deeds are yours. You are not accountable for my actions, nor am I accountable for what you do.’
Some among them, He further says to him, listen to you reciting the Qur’an and to your own statements, but their hearts are so heedless that they do not benefit from what they hear. Can you, then, make the deaf hear you, incapable as they are of understanding? Some of them look at you. But can you show the way to the blind, bereft as they are of sight?
Surely Allah does not do the least wrong to people, but it is people who wrong themselves because of their unbelief and disobedience and thus become justly deserving of His punishment. By so doing, they will in no way harm Allah.
