Overall meaning : We created Adam from a handful of clay which He had taken from all the earth. Then We make His descendants from a sperm-drop, securely settled in the woman’s womb; which We then make into a clot of blood clinging to the womb wall; then We turn it into a chewed-like embryonic lump of flesh (foetus); then We create within the embryonic lump bones of different types, shapes and lengths, perfectly fashioned with a head, trunk and limbs; then We clothe the bones in flesh; and then We bring all this into being as a new creation by breathing spirit into it. Blessed is Allah, who perfects everything He creates!
Then after that you will surely all die and then, after your death, you will be resurrected from your graves on the Day of Resurrection for judgement and recompense.
