Overall meaning : Do these idolaters not see that We have created for them livestock in great numbers which are under their control? We have tamed them for them and subjected them to their control, so that they may ride on some and eat the flesh of others. They have other benefits from them and milk to drink. Will they not, then, give thanks to Us for such favours?!
Instead, they have showed their ingratitude to Us by setting up other gods besides Us, hoping for their help and support. Their false gods can by no means help them, seeing that those who worship them are like an army ready to defend them. How can such idols, then, help them when they cannot possibly help themselves?!
So do not let their words and their persistence in their unbelief grieve you, Muhammad. We have knowledge of everything they conceal and reveal, and We will repay them for all that.
