Overall meaning : Can man—who denies the resurrection—not see that We have created him from a mere drop of sperm, and then he becomes flagrantly quarrelsome and contentious? He denies Our power to resurrect the dead by using false arguments, forgetting how he himself was created. He asks, ‘Who could give life to bones that have crumbled to dust?’
Say to him, Muhammad, ‘Allah Almighty who brought them into being in the first place will give them life again. He has full knowledge of everything He has created. It is He Who produces fire for you from green trees so that you use them to light your fires.’
Is, then, Allah, who has created the heavens and the earth, no able to bring people back to life after their death?! Surely, He is. He is the All-Knowing Supreme Creator from whom nothing is hidden. When He wills something to be, He simply says to it, ‘Be,’ and it is! Glorified and far Exalted above all imperfections is He who has absolute authority and control over all things and to whom will you all be returned to repay you according to your deeds.
