Overall meaning : We were gracious to Moses and Aaron, and delivered them both, with their people from the great distress (from Pharaoh and his people and from drowning) that befell them. We helped them against Pharaoh and his soldiers, and it was they who were the victors We gave Moses and Aaron the Clear Book—the Torah—and guided them to the straight path. We bestowed on them both the praise of later generations: ‘Allah’s peace be on Moses and Aaron.’ Thus do We reward those who do good. They were truly among Our believing servants.
