Overall meaning : The Almighty mentions that he has bought from the true believers their lives and their wealth, promising them Paradise as a price: They fight to support His religion and make it reign supreme. They will be admitted into Paradise whether they kill the unbelievers or are killed by them. This is truly a promise which He has made incumbent upon Him in the Torah, the Gospel and the Qur’an; and there is no one who is more faithful to his promise than Allah. The Almighty then tells the believers who fight in His cause to rejoice in the bargain which they have made, affirming that this will be the ultimate success.
Then Allah Almighty mentions the qualities of the believers from whom He has purchased their lives and their wealth, stating that they are those who turn to Him in repentance, those who worship and praise Him under all circumstances, those who fast and perform the prescribed prayers, those who enjoin what is good and forbid what is evil and those who do not neglect any of His commandments or reject any of His laws. Next, He instructs His Prophet, Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, to give the believers the good news of all good both in this life and in the life to come.
