Overall meaning : And mention, Muhammad, to the people Prophet Lot, peace be upon him, when he said to his people, 'How can you commit such a monstrously abominable deed as no humans have ever committed before you?! You willingly choose to lust after men by practising sodomy on them and leave women that Allah has created for you. Truly, you are a depraved people who leave what is lawful to commit what is unlawful and transgress all limits.
The only response his people gave was to say to one another, 'Drive Lot and those who share his faith out of your town! They are people who regard themselves to be pure and disdain what you do.’
So Allah saved him and his family except for his unbelieving wife; she was of those who were destroyed. Allah Almighty rained down on the unbelievers among Lot’s people stones of extremely hot hard clay. See, then, Muhammad, the terrible end of the wicked evildoers!
