Overall meaning : The Almighty states that He said to Moses that He had chosen him above all people of his time, by sending him as a messenger to the Children of Israel and by speaking to Him without an intermediary. Then He directed him to hold fast to the Torah He had given him, adhere to His commands in it and be among the grateful.
He inscribed for him in the Tablets containing the Torah, Allah further states, everything his nation needed in their religion, as an admonition and detailed explanation of all things. 'Observe what I have inscribed for you in the Tablets steadfastly,’ He directed him, 'and enjoin your people to observe what is best in the Torah. I will show you the abode of the evildoers who disobey My commands.’
